Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategy support and implementation
- Provide input into the IR strategy and provide recommendations based on engagements with internal stakeholder insights.
- Input into an accurate IR plan and adapting it as needed and guided. Utilise various financial tools and identify relevant metrics for comprehensive analysis and competitive assessment.
- Support data, business, and market analytics to enhance the market intelligence capabilities of the IR function.
- Support in the equity research function valuation and analysis of listed telco companies to facilitate executive decision making.
IR database, investor profiles and website maintenance
- Manage and update the IR database, ensuring accurate investor/stakeholder information is captured and updated.
- Accountability for enhancing client relationship management (CRM) systems’ usability in collaboration with relevant service providers.
- Compile investor profiles and assist with investor targeting reports to enhance MTN shareholder engagement.
- Maintain meeting/roadshow notes database and support Executive: IR to maintain record of investor and capital markets engagements.
- Maintain IR website, ensuring timeous updates and play active role in improving/enhancing its content, usability and presentation.
Event and project coordination
- IR key point of contact in coordinating calendar activities and events with Corporate Affairs, and other relevant internal stakeholders, to align on priorities and smooth execution of results and other investor events.
- Identify forums and type of events where IR presence is required and socialise proposals with internal stakeholders.
Reporting and communication
- Support financial and quarterly reporting, including coordination with relevant functions, collating and auditing of data for production of financial results.
- Assist with maintaining accurate and updated IR materials such as data- and factsheets, Q&A documents and presentations.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with reporting requirements and support preparation and review of releases, as well as other relevant disclosures and submissions.
- Conduct research for inputs used in the development of verbal and written communications material obtaining interesting facts and statistics. Seek guidance from internal stakeholders with required expertise on identified topics.
- Support the integrated annual report (IAR) process, including oversight of project plans, management of timelines and design.
- Manage coordination with relevant internal functions and external partners in relation to the IAR process.
- Ensure compliance of the IAR with relevant reporting standards and frameworks. Conduct benchmarking on IAR best practices and provide reports to recommendations to the Executive.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Degree in Finance and or equivalent
- Relevant professional qualification (advantageous)
- At least five years of professional experience
- Telecommunications industry experience
- Capital markets experience an added advantage.
