Job Summary: Our rapidly growing firm is looking for a Finance & Accounting Associate with at least 4 years of experience with in-depth knowledge of best practices in financial management to coordinate strategic financial planning for the firm and its clients.
As a Finance and Accounting Associate, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health and integrity of our organisation. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of financial activities, including but not limited to, financial data analysis, budget management, financial reporting, and assisting in audits. Your meticulous attention to detail and analytical skills will be crucial in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting informed financial decision-making.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and implementing comprehensive financial strategies for the firm and its clients.
- Conduct financial analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance evaluation.
- Provide expertise on financial regulations and industry best practices.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, statements, and presentations.
- Participate in financial audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Monitor financial performance and recommend improvements.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and regulatory changes.
- Assist with the preparation and review of project and administrative budgets.
- Oversee and support the Finance and Contracts Administrator in conducting their duties.
- Implement all policies and procedures for cash control and payments in line with project requirements and client policies, and procedures.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business Administration or another appropriate discipline.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) certification is an added advantage.
- At least four years of relevant experience in financial management or related roles.
- Strong knowledge of financial principles, practices, and regulations.
- Proficiency in financial analysis tools and software.
- High level of reliability, dynamism, objectivity and integrity.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle highly confidential information in a strictly professional manner.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
