Job Title: Cost and Monitoring Accountant

Job Summary: The Cost and Monitoring Accountant will be responsible for developing and maintaining cost accounting systems, analysing production costs, and monitoring financial performance to ensure profitability.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain cost accounting systems, including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
- Analyze production costs and prepare cost reports, including cost of goods sold, gross margin analysis, and product profitability.
- Monitor financial performance and identify areas for improvement, such as cost reduction opportunities and process improvements.
- Collaborate with production and operations teams to identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Perform cost-benefit analysis of new products and initiatives, and provide recommendations to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with all accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
- Participate in the budgeting and forecasting process, and provide input on financial performance metrics.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external auditors and other stakeholders
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;
- CPA or CMA certification preferred
- At least five years of related work experience
