Trust AIC Foundation (TAF) formerly AIDS Information Centre-Uganda (AIC) is a catalytic not-for-profit Non-Governmental Organisation established on 14th February,1990 to provide Voluntary Counselling and Testing (VCT) services to the population of Uganda.
TAF was the pioneer HIV Counselling and Testing Centre in Africa. Over the last 33 years, TAF has since evolved into a thought-leader in HIV programming, Health Systems Strengthening and Knowledge Management.
Job Summary: The Storekeeper will receive, issue and take custody of all store items as required
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Accurate and timely stores reports developed
- Stores transactions managed
- Effective stores maintenance provided
- Quality assurance promoted
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual stores report
- Prepare commodity reports
- Receive items/goods in stores as per the Local Purchase Order in the presence of a technical person
- Prepare Goods Received Notes (GRN) for items
- Issue items/goods from the stores as authorized by the stores request form
- Update the stock cards and inform the users on stock levels
- Check all items brought into stores and receive them
- Issue items out of store against properly authorized requisitions
- Adhere to the Standard Operating Procedures
- Provide input in keeping required stock levels
- Ensure cleanliness and neatness of stores
- Maintain adequate security in the stores
- Maintain safety and security of the store (double locking system)
- Keep items in stores in accordance with prescribed health, safety & other standards
- Regularly update all stock cards and perpetual inventory
- Keep items in stores in accordance with prescribed health, safety and other standards
- Verify the stored items condition to avoid damage expiry on shelf, loss etc.
- Input in keeping required stock levels
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Diploma in Purchasing and Supply or Stores Management
- At least two years of experience in a busy store or yard
- Purchasing and Supply knowledge relevant to medical services
- Stores management emphasizing Stock management and the associated records
- Knowledge of storage requirements for the specific items stored.
- Interpersonal skills
- Communication skills
- Records management skills
- Hands-on-computer skills
