Job Summary: The Project Manager will oversee and coordinate the implementation of projects within the bank and monitor their progress and completion to ensure they are delivered within time, scope and meet the quality expectations of the business or support functions in accordance with the bank’s policies & regulatory requirements.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participate in the planning, execution and closing phases of the project including selecting and leading a project teams.
- Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
- Develop detailed plans to monitor and track project performance, specifically to analyse the successful completion of short and long-term goals.
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
- Manage changes to project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
- Ensure that projects are correctly shaped and accurately budgeted for prior to approval.
- Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques to ensure that each stage of the project is progressing on time, on budget and to the right quality standards.
- Prepare regular progress reports on the status of the project and present them to management.
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks and delays.
- Establish and manage relationships with clients and third parties/vendors.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Manage budgetary objectives and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis.
- Support development of detailed project execution plans and forecasts for in-house projects and assist to manage those effectively.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in a related course preferably in the fields of ICT/ computer science
- Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification is an added advantage.
- Adept in Financial Technology.
- Five years of work experience preferably in a financial service industry, of which 2 years should be in project management.
- Ability to manage multiple project teams simultaneously.
- Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills.
- Logical thinking with creative problem-solving ability.
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work well with others including leading and motivating teams.
- Proven working experience in project management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
- Stakeholder engagement and management skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, PowerPoint.
- Excellent coordination and organizational skills
- Exercise the highest level of integrity.
- People management skills
