Job Summary:  The Procurement and Stores Officer will be in charge of all the procurement of non-RM material and store operations.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Effective management of store operation in receiving inspection, storage, issuance and transfer of items as per company policy.
  • Ensure safe keeping both as to quality and quantity of materials, by properly organising the items in the store, keeping it clean and in good order.
  • Ensure adequate record keeping and manage all documentation to confirm proper stock levels and maintain inventory control.
  • Initiate purchase requisitions for the replacement of stock of all regular store’s items whenever the stock level of any item approaches the minimum limit.
  • Initiate action for stoppage of further purchasing when the stock level approaches the maximum limit.
  • Receive and Inspect deliveries for damage or discrepancies and report those to supervisor for reimbursements and record keeping.
  • Issue materials only in required quantities against authorized requisition notes/material lists.
  • Reviews and evaluates supplier product designs, processes, and activities for compliance with company manufacturing guidelines, quality processes, and standards.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant should preferably hold a Degree in Mechanical engineering.
  • Post graduate diploma in procurement is an added advantage.
  • Four to five years of experience in procurement & stores management in manufacturing setting.
  • Hand-on experience in SAP
