About US:

NCBA Bank Uganda Limited, is a commercial bank in Uganda. It is one of the commercial banks licensed by the Bank of Uganda, the country’s central bank and national banking regulator.

Job Summary:  The Legal Officer will provide legal support, advice and opinion(s) relating to the conduct of the business and support units of the Bank based on sound legal principles. Protect the overall Bank’s interests in line with the Bank’s policies and Procedures and prevailing laws and regulations of Uganda. To assess and analyse key department risks and recommend mitigations and any other roles as may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• The applicant should preferably hold a Bachelor’s degree Law (LLB)
• A Post Graduate Diploma in Law
• Advocate of the High Court of Uganda
• Advocate of the High Court of Uganda
• 5 to 3 years of relevant professional experience in legal practice, in a busy organization or in banking/financial services industry,
• Extensive exposure to credit processes, debt recovery and commercial transactions.
