Job Summary: The Human Resource Officer will plan and implement HR policies and programmes for effective service delivery
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Manages and Develops SACCO Human Resources
- Develop and implement HR initiatives and systems
- Create and implement effective onboarding plans
- Develop training and development programs
- Implement staff performance management processes
- Support the management of disciplinary and grievance issues
- Maintain employee records according to policy and legal requirements
Implement HR Policies & programmes
- Follow up on medical insurance and counseling policies and procedures
- Implementing and updating Human Resource Management information
- Review employment and implement staff welfare programs
- Facilitate the completion of Oath of Secrecy
- Conduct background checks with respective institutions
- Provide secretariat support to Board meetings
- Prepare correspondences and reports on Committees
- Prepare monthly and quarterly activity and progress reports
- Implement Management disciplinary decisions
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Honors Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial and Organizational Psychology, Management Science, Public Administration, Social Sciences (Social Works and Social Administration), Development Studies and Business Administration with a bias in Human Resource from a recognized University /Institution.
- At least two years of proven experience in related position with a reputable organization

- Knowledge of an HRMS is a plus
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Knowledge of HR functions (pay & benefits, recruitment, training and development
- Good administrative and public relations skills
- Strong people management skills

- Organizational and time-management abilities
- An effective communicator, strong written, interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Good command of the English Language
- Honest, approachable. team player, Intelligible and Resourceful
- Has unquestionable integrity and strong leadership skills
- Innovative and team management skills
- High level of integrity and reliability
Desirable
- PGD in HRM, Management, Certificate in Human Resource
- Training in Data Analytics
- Experience in HR Practice, Management or Administration
- Knowledge of Labour Laws, HR best practices
- Credentials (e.g. Certification in CIPD or related qualification) is added advantage
- Age Limit: Below 40 Years
