Job Summary: The Refugee Lending – Accounts Relationship Officer is responsible for promoting, selling, processing, monitoring, recording and evaluating both Individual and Non-Individual loans including Business Loans, Agriculture Loans, Micro Individual Loans, Personal Loans and SACCO/Village Saving Lending Association Loans respectively ensuring 100% repayment and compliance with credit lending policies and procedures.
He/She will be responsible for managing the growth and performance of the loan portfolio, develop, execute plans and implement strategies set by the institution, focusing on managing and maintaining a high-quality loan portfolio and on reaching the optimal portfolio caseloads.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Mobilizing Individual and Non- Individual clients for all credit products offered by the bank.
- Growing deposits and loan portfolio value in the assigned branch in line with the set targets.
- Growing loan and savings customer numbers in the assigned branch in line with the set targets.
- Developing and implementing strategies for customer acquisition and retention in line with the branch strategies, credit policy and the customer relationship management standards.
- Planning, reviewing and monitoring strategies for growing Business and all loan products portfolio, quality control and submission of periodic reports in line with the work plan and bank lending policy.
- Meeting with clients to identify their needs, demands and satisfaction with FINCA Individual Products and services.
- Organizing client sensitization seminars and information dissemination for existing and potential borrowers.
- Appraising and preparing detailed applications for Individual and Non- Individual clients in line with the policy to determine their worthiness for credit facilities in a bid to improve portfolio quality.
- Presenting Individual and Non- Individual credit applications to the Unit-in charge for recommendation to Central Underwriting Unit for decision making.
- Monitoring and evaluating the loan performance
- Recovering and following up on all the Individual and Non- Individual credit facilities.
- Verifying and establishing authenticity and completeness of loan documentation in line with the credit policy.
- Ensuring clients receive the best service, maintaining good relations with clients, and timely responding to the needs of existing clients.
- Managing difficult or emotional customer situations, responding promptly to customer needs as per guidelines in the Customer Service Manual
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in any business related fields from a recognized University/Institution

- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Availability to travel 70% of the available time
