About US:
Multi Community Based Development Initiative (MUCOBADI) a local NGO founded in 2000 by Community Development Volunteers to bring development, but in particular to support people living with HIV to be productive. MUCOBADI is registered as a Non-Government Organization (S.5914/7569) and is incorporated as a company limited by Guarantee.
Job Summary: The Driver will perform work in the operation of MUCOBADI vehicles to assure safe transportation of authorized personnel among whom are: beneficiaries, partners and staff to and from various destinations and provide support in the management of MUCOBADI fleet.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintenance of the vehicles as required and complete the log books with all the required details.
- Maintain all vehicles entrusted to you and keep them clean at all times, be responsible for reporting the condition of the vehicles. Services requirements, unusual noises, areas needing attention or other malfunctions and ensure that the vehicles are checked without delay.
- Be responsible for maintaining vehicle records, such as purpose of trip, mileage and vehicle maintenance.
- Drive as assigned route to transport organization staff/individuals to and from various service locations, work sites, institution, facilities and other locations.
- Responsible for care and maintenance of vehicles and cleans interior; takes vehicles to garage for maintenance and repair in co-operation with the Accountant and other staff.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold an A’ Level certificate
- Valid driving license
- At least two years of work experience in an NGO environment
- Basic knowledge in motor vehicle maintenance
- Demonstrated ability to prepare vehicle reports
- A demonstrated ability to multi-task and process information into action so as not to delay processes
- Excellent interpersonal skills
