Job Title: Revenue Integrity Officer

Uganda Airlines is the flag carrier of Uganda. The company is a revival of the older Uganda Airlines which operated from 1977 until 2001. It began flying in August 2019.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design custom procedures to monitor abusive activity not captured by Amadeus Revenue Integrity solution.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure that the work processes are followed and executed, resulting in optimal usage of RM applications. You will also support E-commerce & Compliance Manager to effectively investigate and implement recommendations provided by the internal audit team.
- Analyse system logs such as Amadeus sell logs to detect patterns used by travel agents to circumvent UR controls and recommend ways to protect the revenue.
- Liaise with IT, external vendors, and RM resources to ensure the systems are integrated in the most optimal way.
- Identify operational needs and proactively develop viable solutions to support RM Analysts in their daily tasks.
- Audit all processes within the department.
- Ensure the laid down processes are adhered to and suggest input for review of procedures.
- Execute contracts and ensure they are implemented accordingly following company guidelines and procedures.
- Perform periodic system and procedural audits.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and controls by examining and analyzing records, reports, operating practices, and documentation; recommending opportunities to strengthen the internal control structure.
- Conduct investigations on sales malpractices.
- Identify potential risks to the commercial team and the company in general.
- Review, update and communicate changes to internal policies.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders by coordinating information requirements when needed.
- Keep abreast with internal standards and business goals.
- Proactively audit processes, practices, and documents to identify weaknesses.
- Meet work standards by following production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving operational problems; identifying work process improvements.
- Communicate audit progress and findings by preparing reports and providing information.
- Meet cost standards by monitoring expenses, and implementing cost-saving actions.
- Enhance compliance unit and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant for the Uganda Airlines Revenue Integrity Officer job must have a Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with minimum 5 years of job-related experience in the airline industry in either reservations or sales.
- Knowledge of airline systems such as Altea inventory, PROS OD, and/or GDS.
- Knowledge/experience in Amadeus and ticketing knowledge.
- Good knowledge of Revenue Integrity Processes, applications, and technology.
- Knowledge of programming languages and coding skills would be preferred.
- Strong analytical skills – draws accurate inferences.
- Strong Quality focus and excellence orientation
- Interest in innovation, new technologies & Professional knowledge
- Good Planning and Organizing skills.
- Must have considerable interpersonal and analytical skills with a deep understanding and appreciation of the strategic and operational challenges in airline commerce.
