Job Summary: The Senior Planner will be responsible for developing, planning, implementing, reconciling, and maintaining valuable project control databases and reports for projects.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the operation of project, Planning and Scheduling, cost engineering, manpower planning & control and management reporting.
- Coordinates with estimating unit and finance & accounting department in establishing project chart of accounts of awarded contract.
- Preparation of project schedule after contract award.
- Timely allocation, distribution, and assessment of manpower resource to project in accordance with qualifications and skills requirements.
- Monitors and evaluate project cost/Man-hour performance on weekly and monthly basis and prepare Executive summary reports to top management.
- Prepares project operational budget broken down based on work breakdown structures, showing each cost elements (Labour, material & equipment) and assigning cost, centers and codes covering indirect and direct cost distribution.
- Prompt monitoring and reporting project manpower census, movements, and utilization.
- Periodic Analysis of project manpower requirements project against available resource to be able to initiate in the company sourcing arrangements with project management and / or personnel requisitions by the Human Resource Department.
- Analyzing cost and revenue, organize cost control progress reports on the Project. Monitoring, reporting, and forecasting project plans.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Degree in Engineering or in a related field or certificates/training in Engineering or a related field with 10 years’ experience working as a planning and cost control engineer may work in lieu of the required degree.
- At least ten years of experience with engineering/construction/operations experience within the offshore industry, including a specific focus on cost control.
- International and multicultural experience is a must.
- Able to communicate effectively at all levels in the organization.
- Analytical organized with good attention to detail.
- Able to deliver in a high-pressure, fast-paced project/operations environment.
- Able to work in a multidisciplinary/multinational environment.
- Familiar with requirements of the Oil & Gas sector major project delivery processes.
- Good understanding and capability of integrating cost engineering on capital and operations projects. With proven work experience in construction projects with competence in budget measurements, investigations, and analyzing data (maps, reports, tests, and drawings), assessing risks, materials, and potential costs.
- Proficient in implementing quality control processes with Geometric and architectural drawings.
- Advanced knowledge in Engineering software programs of MS Project, Electrical CAD, Primavera P6. construction procedures.
