Job Summary:  The Senior Credit Manager – ILS reports to the Head of Credit and will be based at Head Office. He/she responsible for developing and implementing strategies and plans for growth, profitability and asset quality of the lending portfolio and ensure good customer service and compliance with applicable policy guidelines.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure that the loan portfolio targets are achieved, and portfolio quality is maintained within acceptable levels.
• Increase the customer base and active borrowers.
• Ensure that Pride’s lending policies and procedures are complied with.
• Follow up and recover written-off loans and support branches in recovery.
• Ensure that all lending related client complaints received are addressed.
• Review of staff loan applications.
• Assess performance and build capacity of staff.
• Preparation of Board Papers.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Post graduate diploma in a related field.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Economics, Microfinance, Development Economics, Development studies, Business Studies, Accounting and Finance, Marketing, Financial Services, Business Computing, Business Statistics, Entrepreneurship & Small Business Management, Social Science, SWASA, Education or in any other relevant / related field.
• At least four years of experience in a similar or related position with strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Should possess strong supervisory and leadership skills.
• Should be honest, trustworthy & have a high degree of integrity
• Should not be more than 45 years of age.
