About US:
Jambo Roses Limited is a joint venture that started with investors from Norway, Sweden, Uganda and the United Kingdom. The farm is located in the stunning countryside of Entebbe, across large acres of land. We specialise in producing and exporting high-end quality roses in a rich variety of colours to the European market.
The main creator of this dream was Daniel Kiryango in conjunction with Carsten Brunn, Oistein Larsen and the late Hans Skabo. Hans worked as our International Business Consultant on behalf of NORAD, the Norwegian Government International Development Agency. Jambo Roses received financial support from the Norwegian Government through NORAD, for both infrastructural development and the training of the local managers at the initial stage of its development as they saw the future potential of the farm.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Handles secretarial work
- Tasked with managing itinerary for Human Resource and updating the office diary
- Handle leave administration
- Gather and disseminate data in your docket for end of month to the HRM
- Payroll instructions
- Handles all incoming and outgoing correspondence
- Respond to HR correspondences
- Ensure HR files and records are maintained
- Complete monthly year end reports
- In charge of planning coordinating and monitoring registration process for the new hires
- Perform any other duties as assigned from time to time
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management/ Business Administration
- Three years of experience in a busy organization
- People management skills
- Communication skills
- Confidentiality
- Time management
