Job Summary:  The Finance and Administration Officer shall be responsible for managing the finance and administration function and reports to Director Finance and Administration.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Production of weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reports.
  • Return filing and petty cash management, making sure statutory returns are submitted in time.
  • Prepare accounts and liaise with Auditors to work on them.
  • Overseeing all office and administration.
  • Maintaining an updated database of Heden Engineering Solutions and clients for continuous follow up.
  • Create and manage company partnerships.
  • Perform routine calculations to produce analyses and reports as requested by the supervisor.
  • Create, send, and follow up on invoices immediately a service is offered.
  • Review and adhere to department budgets.
  • Report any troubling discoveries or suspicion of wrongdoing to the proper authorities.
  • Collect information for and prepare payroll payments for employees.
  • Champion the preparation of financial reports on a regular basis.
  • Suggest changes or improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency, and cost reductions.
  • Spearhead the procurement of services and products for the company.
  • Participate in business development activities and marketing of the company.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor and company management.

 

Key Performance Areas

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Accounting, Finance or any related field (First class or Second Upper).
  • Level 2 of professional accounting qualification (ACCA or CPA) is an added advantage
  • At least two years of experience in an Accounting role.
  • Has a positive work ethic.
  • Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication that is clear, well-organized, and demonstrates an understanding of clients’ needs.
  • An effective team player who contributes valuable ideas and feedback and can be counted on to meet commitments.
  • Committed to handle challenging tasks with passion.
  • Pursues activities with focus and drive, defines work in terms of success,
  • Adherence to standards of business conduct and compliance.
  • Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.
  • Hands on experience with Quick books, Tally, Microsoft excel, Word and ERP System is a must.
  • Excellent mathematical skills; understanding of data privacy standards; integrity; honesty; customer-service skills; solid communication skills, both written and verbal;
