Job Summary: We are looking for Nurse. Can you administer treatment as prescribed? Do you have knowledge in immunization and vaccination? Do you passion to work on expectant mothers and advise on maternal issues? Are you able to work for longer hours? Can you work night shifts? Are you cooperative and accountable? We are looking for you!

We offer an interesting job with a lot of responsibility and autonomy in which you are to assess patients’ health problems and needs, develop, and implement nursing care plans, maintain medical records, administer drugs and giving health education patients as per Uganda Nurses and Midwifery council guidelines.

You will be reporting to Clinic Officer.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Providing direct care to the patients, administer treatment as prescribed.
  • Managing the Maternal and Neonatal health of patients. Health education to the mothers attending antenatal.
  • Performing scans and writing of reports as required.
  • Management of National immunization programs in context of Primary Health Care.
  • Prepare and carry out outreaches where needed.
  • Sterilization of instruments and sundries packed in the relevant packs ready for use as per nurses’ procedures.
  • Organizing addressing rooms; Laying beds and making them ready for use by patients.
  • Giving a hand in inventory stock checking and balancing in the pharmacy.
  • Ensuring all clinic record books and system are updated.
  • Provide community relations and health education.
  • Ensuring company assets are maintained and expenses minimised where need be.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant must hold a Diploma in Nursing and midwifery
  • Experience of at least 3 years in a busy setting
  • Understanding of the Medical ethical code of conduct.
  • Good expression in English and Luganda.
  • Diagnostic ultrasound operations and computer literate.
