About US:

National Population Council (NPC) is a government agency established by an Act of Parliament in 2014 as a semi-autonomous institution under the Ministry of Finance Planning and Economic Development. The Council transitioned from the Population Secretarial that was established in 1988. It is mandated to coordinate the implementation of the National Population Policy and Programme, advocate for integration of population factors in development planning in accordance with the agreed framework under the National Development Plan.

 

Job Summary:  The Welfare Assistant will provide welfare support services to ensure the effective operation of the National Population Council offices.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve tea;
  • Make sure cups and flasks are collected in the officer’s rooms;
  • Make sure the rubbish is disposed off in the pantry;
  • Clean kitchen utensils and cause replacement of old ones;
  • Take and maintain inventory of Utensils and report of damages; and
  • Clean kitchen and maintain safety measures.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant must hold a Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with a credit in English Language and Certificate in Catering.
  • No experience is required, but at least one (1) welfare support services experience will be an added advantage.
  • Neatness and cleanliness;
  • Able to organize work
  • Communicating Effectively;
  • Public Relations and Customer Care skills
