Job Summary: The Assistant Surveyor will provide technical support in acquisition, processing, storage and retrieval of spatial data, Geographical Information System (GIS) to produce tuples, maps and drawings
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Capture Survey data including field survey measurements, digitizing, and processing the data to produce drawings.
- Set out routes of new transmission lines and diversions of existing lines/routes.
- Data storage, retrieval, update, analysis, and supply for management decision support.
- Keenly monitor the condition and use of the Units’ tools and equipment.
- Actively participate in the processes of land acquisition for the Company’s developments in accordance with the land Act 1998, other statutory instruments, and corporate guidelines.
- Data handling – Data entry and processing in AUTOCAD, Geographical information System (GIS), Printing, annotation, and delivery of maps/drawings.
- Prepare reports to the Senior Surveyor.
- Any other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- A diploma in Surveying or other related field from a recognized institution.
- Two years of experience in power systems survey in a busy entity and environment.
- Must be computer literate with good knowledge of surveying related applications.
- Integrity, highly motivated, innovative and a committed team player.
