Job Summary: NIC General Insurance is looking for an experienced person to take up the position of Credit Control Officer.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- In charge of the reconciliation of debtors Accounts and issuance of clearance letters to brokers as when due.
- Write demand letters, warning letters (through legal) and follow-up on them.
- Preparation of Journal Vouchers to adjust Exchange gain/Loss, recognize staff premium deductions from the payroll, Negative balances, ensure bounced cheques receipts are reversed.
- Match off payments against Debit notes on various clients’ accounts,.
- Prepare commission payable report as and when required.
- Make field visits to debtors/clients for reconciliations and demand for payment.
- Authorize issuance of credit policies.
- Check and verify premiums system.
- Daily review files for policies issued on credit.
- Prepare various credit reports.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in accounts or commerce or economics or business or mathematics.
- At least three years of experience in Credit control, Accounts and finance.
- Pursuing CPA at level 2 at least.
- A Certificate in Insurance.
- Cross-functional leadership Skills
- Time management.
- Negotiation skills.
- Interpersonal skills
- Good communication skills both verbal and written
- Computer skills in Ms Word, Ms Excel, Ms Powerpoint and Accounting Quick Books.
