Job Summary: The Project Coordinator (Uthabiti) is responsible for coordination of the USAID Uthabiti project for UGAFODE to pilot Village Savings and Loan Associations – VSLAs digitization activities in Nakivale Refugee Settlement for a period of 22 months.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise the Grameen Foundation-Uthabiti project implementation and coordinate with all Stakeholders to keep project activities/workflow on track and also enable achievement of project objectives while providing timely and accurate feedback throughout.
- Monitoring progress of the project activities and creating project status reports for stakeholders: which also contain challenges and proposed improvements if necessary.
- Budget monitoring: Adhere to budget by monitoring expenses and implementing cost-saving measures; Assist with resource scheduling so that Community Based Trainers (CBT) have sufficient resources to complete their tasks.
- Records management: manage project-related paperwork by ensuring all necessary materials are current, properly filed and stored for UGAFODE (MDI) in line with internal process.
- Team Leadership: Directly supervise CBTs to ensure that they deliver to performance expectations of identifying, mobilizing, training and on-boarding VSLAs as per project projections. Drive accountability that yield value proposition for UGAFODE.
- Coordinate and participate in a Training of Trainers during Project Orientation for self and CBTs. Ensure that CBTs have the necessary skills that will enable them effectively perform their role.
- Marketing: Aligning promotional strategy and activities to the Marketing Plan of the Business Growth and Development department and ensuring adherence to institutional policy, processes and standards of service delivery.
- Ensure an excellent customer experience by ensuring that CBTs adhere to the customer service standards of the institution, feedback and problem resolution is timely.
- Handle project correspondences, memos, minutes and emails; ensuring that project information flow is systematic, clear and aligns with institutional internal processes and best practices.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or finance. A good track record of managing a Sales Team.
- At least two years of experience working for in the field of Microfinance/SACCO or Bank.
- Knowledge of the full MS Office suite
- Stakeholder Management is a Must skill.
- Demonstrable experience in preparation of reports to various stakeholders.
- Ability to ride a Motorcycle will be an added advantage.
General and behavioral attributes required:

- Business acumen, influencing and negotiation skills.
- Leadership skills.
- Able to meet deadlines.
