Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Technical Support and Operational Assistance.
- Manage the design, test, installation, startup, administration and maintenance of Telecom and network systems including radio links, PMR, PMP, access control, CCTV systems, LAN, WAN, WiFi, ToIP.
- Ensures close collaboration and proactive advisory role with business, analyses and anticipate business as well as end-users needs in terms of telecom requirements and makes sure adequate telecom resources are available to fulfil these requests.
- Responsible for always maintaining the availability of telecom systems and connectivity up. Ensure required maintenance and support through onshore and offshore site visits.
- Liaises with Group representatives as needed regarding technical configurations, installations, troubleshooting and telecom systems requirements in order to make sure services are properly delivered.
- Monitors, reviews and checks performance and capability of telecom assets and provides feedback about asset state.
- Analyses existing landscape and defines business and functional requirements related to telecom systems.
- Designs and recommends technical architectures related to telecom systems, taking into consideration redundancy and high-availability requirements needed for crisis management.
- Follows-up on technological evolutions in the telecom domain and elaborates on telecommunication methodology, best practices.
- Provides technical and cost-related input to business cases as needed.
- Follows-up on telecom licenses and maintains telecom equipment spare parts stock as needed.
- Evaluates and selects appropriate suppliers and contractors from a technical perspective and assists in producing RFPs as needed.
- Manages interactions with suppliers and contractors and the related SLAs and assesses their performance.
- Provides regular reporting about telecom service, performance and inventory and keeps track of and reports on telecom budget, invoices and stock for telecom projects.
- Promotes IT services , results and trends across Business and communicates technical Telecom documentation to end-user.
- Research relevant and innovative ideas pertaining to telecom domain and provides adequate inputs regarding benefits, risks and challenges that would help in building the business cases related to these new ideas.
- Contributes to change process whenever required by providing needed inputs and accompanying end-users in implementing the change.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold an Engineering Degree in Electrical and Electronics, Telecommunications or related field
- At least eight years of experience in the Telecoms domain with previous experience in Telecoms operations for GSM operators (Field Engineers, Planning and NOC operations); and similar experiences in an Oil and Gas Environment.
- Expert knowledge of Telecom and network systems and technologies (radio links, microwave, VHF, fiber optics, leased lines, Wi-Fi, IP telephony, CCTV, access control, videoconferencing, cabling), expert knowledge in office pack, advanced knowledge of the whole IT technical perimeters (systems, telecom, applications, Proximity) including support and ITIL processes and tools
- Good organizational and communication skills, autonomy, attention to detail, reactiveness, multitasking ability, operating in a multinational environment, team spirit and ability to see the big picture.
- Good leadership, initiation and communication skills amongst internals & externals stakeholders.
- Strong cohesion with the network and telecommunication team for application access.
- Knowledge in french is a plus (for collaboration with HQ). Execution of activities in line with company and government policies.
