About US:
The National Information Technology Authority-Uganda (NITA-U) is an autonomous statutory body established under the NITA-U Act 2009, The Authority is under the general supervision of the Ministry of Information Communications Technology and National Guidance (MOICT&NG). The National Information Technology Authority, Uganda was established with a mandate to coordinate, promote and monitor the development of IT in the context of social and economic development of Uganda.
Job Summary: The BPO/ITES Supervisor will coordinate the development and promotion of Business Process Outsourcing /Information Technology Enabled Services (BPO/ITES) in Uganda into a vibrant, globally competitive industry to create jobs and enhance income.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop cooperation with all relevant stakeholders and other interest groups including the youth in the development of the BPO/ITES industry in Uganda;
- Develop a critical mass of trained personnel for the BPO/ITES industry by working with Universities and other training institutions in the country;
- Support the operationalizing of approved BPO/ITES incentives;
- Responsible for the operationalization of the approved BPO/ITES standards in the industry;
- Support Innovation, Software, and BPO/ITES Hubs both public and private in the BPO/ITES ecosystem in the country;
- Perform any other duties which may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business or ICT-related fields or their equivalent
- Professional/ industry certification such as ITIL, CIM, MCSE, ACCA, PMP, Prince 2. Will be an added advantage.
- A minimum of three years of working experience in business development, business incubation, and or business promotion.
- Project management experience is an added advantage.
- Experience in BPO/ITES-related projects or Contact Centre in large enterprises will be an added advantage
- Interpersonal Skills: Soft Skills Management, Leadership, Communication, Writing, Presentation and Listening skills.
