Uganda Institute of Banking and Financial Services (UIBFS) is a Centre of Excellence in Financial Services Training in Uganda. The Institute is designed to promote professionalism, and inclusion through market-led training, research, and consultancy to providers and users of financial services. The Institute’s training programs cover Professional, Short & Executive, Specialized, and Post Graduate Courses.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Carry out capacity building needs analysis for the assigned portfolio and propose products to satisfy the needs
- Develop proposals for the provision of training services to potential customers in line with the Institute’s objectives
- Identify and maintain a pool of competent resources persons for the capacity building programs offered by the Institute as per the Human Resources Manual
- Identify and formalize a partnership with firms/Institutes in offering capacity building services to the Institute’s Clientele
- Keenly monitor the delivery of the capacity building programs and propose interventions for improvement as per the Institute’s objectives
- Assess the performance of the trainers’/ resource persons and update the trainer’s database in line with performance evaluation results
- Prepare training materials and organize venues for training events and ensure all administrative arrangements are taken care off
- Prepare and submit budgets, strategies, and work plans for the portfolio in line with the financial management guidelines
- Prepare and submit training activity report for Management consideration including claiming payments for each training program
- Prepare pay documents for the trainer’s remunerations as per the contract documents
- Compile and continuously update a database for clients enrolled for the short courses.
- Design and implement a mechanism for identifying risks and associated mitigation plan for the training program
- Perform other lawful duties as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: Applicants should be Ugandans holding:
- An Honor Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or Organizational Psychology or Business Administration (Management Option) or Public Administration or Management or Social Science or Organization Development (OD) or any other course in the field of Human Resource Management and Management or Social work and Social Administration from a recognized University/Institution
- Postgraduate qualification in any of the courses above is an added advantage
- Membership in Human Resource Professionals Association(s) is an added advantage
- Applicants should have a minimum of three (3) years of working experience with a reputable organization in the Human Resources management function
- He/she should have the following Key competencies: Business acumen, Career Coaching, Competency Framework Development, Proposal writing, Learning Needs Analysis, Organizational Change Management, Human Resource Analytics and Insights, Human Resource Systems Management, Stakeholder Engagement and Management, and Succession planning
