Job Summary: The Community-based Trainers will be responsible for piloting the identification, mobilization, training and onboarding of VSLAs through usage of digital platforms to increase uptake of UGAFODE financial products and outreach for Financial Inclusion of Refugees in Nakivale.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Mobilizations & sensitization of local communities, sub-county technical and political, and other key stakeholders about the project.
- Identify, profile VSLAs using Taro works remote management information system (MIS) system and recruit VSLAs that meet program selection criteria as per targets set.
- Digital Literacy: Train (including periodic refresher trainings) SLAs on VSLA methodology in Linkage Banking, provide financial education related to the use and troubleshooting of selected Digital Savings Group (DSG) Platform.
- Collect group data to track their progress, monitoring and support supervision of the Linked groups.
- Preparation of periodic activity progress reports.
- Monitor and Support group leaders to enable them effectively manage VSLAs.
- Providing timely and accurate feedback to the stakeholders.
- Evaluate problems, hitches that can affect customers, upholding excellent customer service through feedback, monitoring and reporting in line with compliance, risk and best practice perspectives.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- At least an Ordinary Level of Education (UCE) or its equivalent.
- Two years of relevant experience in Community Development/ Training, Financial Literacy with some knowledge of group dynamics.
- Ability to fluently speak any of the following languages in addition to English: Kinyarwanda, Lingala, French, Swahili, Arabic etc.
- Ability to ride a Motorcycle will be an added advantage.
General and behavioral attributes required:
- Person of high integrity.
- Business acumen, influencing and negotiation skills.
- Hardworking and has self-drive.
