Job Summary: The Operations Manager will be responsible for driving operational excellence for BAM Uganda operations by analyzing and improving organizational processes, and work to improve quality, productivity, and efficiency.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure smooth operation of the BAM Uganda Office from a Strategic, Customer Experience, Operations and Reporting roles.
- Reporting to the Board on Strategic Operations matters with regard to the business.
- Provide leadership to the Operations team and manage performance in line with the strategic goals of the organization;
- Drive effectiveness of operating systems to enhance efficiency and appreciation of the role of the systems
- Ensure that the smooth running of office operations in the areas of office procurement, IT Systems efficiency and general office management.
- Drive progress towards goal to reduce general office operation costs
- Coordinate with BAMC Investment managers and Investment Sales managers as necessary on to ensure operations support internal operations, sales operations, and customer needs
- Coordinate with Manager ICT Infra and Service on leveraging IT systems to improve efficiency
- Drive system improvement and automation of routine tasks
- Drive compliance with contractual, regulatory and efficiency requirements within BAMC operations
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Master’s degree in a Business-related field
- Professional qualification is an added advantage.
- Six or more years of experience within the financial services industry in a busy and high performing company
- Knowledge of CMA regulatory requirements
- Extensive experience in ensuring operational risks are identified and managed.
- Significant experience in process mapping and restructuring to obtain optimal operations with a focus on cost containment.
- An understanding of leveraging technology and processes to standardise operations, reducing turn-around times on all key business processes.
- A demonstrated track record in optimising finance & operations to enhance the overall customer experience at all customer contact points.
- Knowledge of Investment products
- Sales and marketing management skills
