Sinopec Service Uganda is engaged in the provision of all project phases service for various sectors, including oil & gas, power, buildings, roads and bridges etc. We are looking for Construction and Project support personnel.
Successful candidates with relevant experience and recognized expertise in large onshore/offshore oil and gas EPC projects will be preferred. The working environment is multicultural and demands considerable experience in the project process working with International Clients and Contractors. Strong communication skills, fluent spoken and written English, and Chinese competency will be a plus.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: The roles and responsibilities for this position will include, but not be limited to:
- The Material Inspection Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the material inspection and assisting the purchasing department to complete the report of receiving equipment and materials to the Project Client.
- Responsible for coordinating the purchasing engineers and the construction site storage management personnel to inspect the incoming materials.
- Responsible for assisting the warehouse management personnel of the purchasing department in the acceptance of the incoming materials and equipment.
- Responsible for urging the construction site arrival equipment and materials to report to the owner for inspection.
- Responsible for checking whether the quality certificate of the site incoming materials and equipment is complete.
- Responsible for managing the verification of small equipment and instruments on site.
- Responsible for the handling of unqualified materials and equipment delivered on the construction site.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree or above is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
- At least two years of experience in engineering materials and equipment procurement and supply management and related experience in storage management and material acceptance.
- Material analysis and material management engineering related majors.
- Familiar with the knowledge of materials and equipment from manufacturing to storage management, including various implementation standards and acceptance basis. Familiar with the performance characteristics and quality of various materials and equipment.
- Familiar with the quality characteristics, production process and acceptance procedures of various equipment and materials.
- Strong interpersonal skills. Proficient in English. Adaptable to cross-cultural work environment.
- Have a strong sense of responsibility and serious working attitude, can timely deal with the problems in the process of work.
- Good health and capable of working in a remote project area.
- Age preference 22-42 years
