The bank offers a variety of Products and services including; Savings, Current accounts, Loans, Money transfer services and Bills payments to its target market which comprises of micro, small and medium entrepreneurs, salary earners and youth.
Job Summary: The Branch Operations Supervisor will manage the risk and control environment of the Branch, ensure branch compliance to regulatory standards, policies and procedures and manage performance of direct reports. Support Branch management in provision of good customer service and running of a profitable Branch
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Cash Management:
- Monitor liquidity of the branch through preparation of cash flows, banking and drawing of funds as per approved branch insurance limits
- Withdraw & deposit of cash with the cash centre.
- Management of Cash in Transit and cash confirmations
- Conduct spot checks on tellers
- Authorize and approve transactions within your limit
Customer Service / Customer relationship management:
- Ensure good branch ambience and cleanliness
- Ensure excellent customer service
- Ensure response to customer queries
People Management and leadership:
- Mentor and guide all staff supervised.
- Manage and monitor all leave for all staff supervised
- Manage and monitor daily attendance
- Ensure optimum staffing for the branch
- Monitor and supervise the performance of Banking Officers, Banking Assistants and Office Assistants.
- Develop monthly activity plans, perform monthly budget variance reviews and carry out operational and strategic plans.
- Act as the Branch Manager in the absence of the substantive Branch Manager
Strategic Performance Management:
- Defines and refines business strategies with a specific focus on designing and implementing new strategic approaches, ideas, and processes that will grow the business and avail measurable results.
- Put in place performance measures that will determine the effectiveness of implemented strategies and identify areas for strategic improvement.
Compliance and Control:
- Handle audit, risk and compliance issues of the branch
- Manage the reputational risk of the branch
- Ensure that Accounts opened have proper KYC
- Monitor Anti money laundering activities (AML) of the clients
- Review, monitor, and maintain internal controls, systems and procedures
Asset Management:
- Manage all assets and their proper usage
- Ensure security of all assets
- Ensure security of all company records
Financial Reporting:
- Conduct daily, weekly and monthly branch reconciliations
- Keep books of accounts and supporting schedules at the branch
- Timely submission of reports required by stakeholders
Business growth and development
- Supervise account opening and customer account activity at the branch
- Supervise E- channels enrolment and growth at the branch
- Cross sell bank products and services
- Follow up dormancy rate of the branch
Budgeting and Cost control
- Work with the Branch Manager to prepare annual Branch Budgets
- Perform Monthly budget variance reviews
- Plan and review staffing needs of the branch
Record keeping
- Filling documents and proper storage of records under dual custody
- Restrict access to records to only authorised persons
Security of premises
- Ensure proper security of the premises
- Ensure that CCTV are performing well and report timely non function
Key management
- Keep record of keys and be a vault custodian, monitor dual control and register of access to strong room through maintenance of various registers.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant for the Finance Trust Bank (FTB) Branch Operations Supervisor job must hold a Business degree in Commerce, Business Administration or any related discipline
- At least four years of experience in Banking Operations
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Team player, ability to work under pressure and in position to exercise excellent judgment.
- Must have critical thinking, analytical, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Team player, ability to work under pressure and in position to exercise excellent judgment
- Strong skills in influencing others and relationship building
- Ability to demonstrate positive image and up hold the Bank’s value
- Good interpersonal and team work skills.
- Smart personal presentation skills.
- Ability to work under stressful conditions
- Good customer service skills.
- Willingness to work upcountry and/or at any branch of the Bank is a requirement.
