Job Summary: The Officer Investments will promote all SACCO investments in order to enhance financial stability and client satisfaction
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensuring effective Reporting and accountability to the relevant authorities for quality decision making
- Reviewing SACCOs financial statements to determine its financial stability.
- Build and maintain financial models to support investment analysis and decision-making.
- Prepare detailed investment recommendations for review by management.
- Generate reports detailing portfolio performance, risk, and exposure.
Conduct Investment planning, monitoring and control of all investment projects in order to achieve competitive returns on investment
- Recommending changes to investment plans based on new information or changing circumstances.
- Monitor global economic, political, and market developments to identify opportunities and risks associated with the different investment portfolios.
- Conduct fundamental research on companies, industries, and markets to support investment decisions.
- Monitor portfolios on an ongoing basis to ensure that positions are consistent with approved investment guidelines.
Carry out Risk identification and management to minimize possible losses on investment
- Keep abreast of new developments in the investment industry and share insights with SACCOs management.
- Working with SACCO members to create a comprehensive financial plan that addresses their current and future needs.
- Determining how much risk is involved in a particular investment based on the nature of the investment, the client’s financial situation, and other factors.
Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships to ensure implementation of set service standards
- Attend and participate in regular management meetings and other key stakeholders.
- Maintain strong working relationships with internal and external partners.
- Managing the administrative aspects of an investment program, including filing required paperwork with regulators.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Commerce
- Professional membership from relevant bodies
- At least three years of experience in investment analysis or portfolio management
- Planning
- Expenditure management and Budgetary control
- Financial reporting
- Risk management and assurance
- Change management
- Negotiation and management
- Policy management
- Good administrative and public relations skills
- Exceptional math skills with the ability to calculate complex financial data
- Proven experience developing and managing investment portfolios
- Strong understanding of investment products, including stocks, bonds, and real estate business
- Honest, approachable, team player, Intelligible and Resourceful
- Age Limit: Below 40 Years
