Job Summary: The Nursing School Pedagogy Field Officer will improve the teaching skills of the pedagogic personnel of Health Training Schools.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- You facilitate communication and close collaboration between school management, board of governors, district health office, hospitals, health facilities, paramedical training institutes, consultants.
- You upgrade the pedagogical skills of teachers of selected paramedical schools
- You reinforce digitalization of the trainings
- You ensure that the partners use the most appropriate techniques and facilitate the introduction of innovative practices in pedagogy and institutional management and governance.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate must hold a Bachelors’ Degree in Educational sciences, Health Sciences, Public Health or other Health Educational related fields.
- Three years of relevant experience in the Health or Health Education sector especially in Health Training Institutions;
- Proven experience in upgrading pedagogical skills of teachers in learning institutions;
- Experience in project management (preparation, implementation and follow up of project activities)
- Experience in development of E-learning (online courses, blended approach, mobile application, Open Educational Resources, ICT tools for Teaching and Learning…) Experience with qualitative and quantitative M&E methods
- Experience with Coaching a team of professionals
- You have broad and in-depth understanding of the various aspects of international cooperation (context, challenges, strengths, partners, functioning, etc.).
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a multi-actor environment
- Understanding of the health sector and higher education dynamics, related to access and quality of education and health;
- Clear and concise writing skills for reporting, administrative and technical documents;
- Communication, presentation and facilitation skills;
- Creative thinking and being pro-active i.e. taking initiatives and responsibility at the same time
- Good working knowledge of ICT technologies (related software, phone, email) and computer applications (e.g. MS Office).
- Ability to work on own initiative as well as a member of a team • Ability to deal with people with tact and diplomacy
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment and to demonstrate gender sensitive and non-discriminatory behavior and attitudes
- Motorbike/car driver’s licence is an asset
