Job Summary:  The Manager – Wireless Broadband will be tasked with creating and managing the Sales and Distribution channels for Home Broadband devices across the B2C/B2B market to drive acquisition and grow market share.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership in the creation and implementation of Broadband device Channel/Outlet plans (strategy)
  • Driving sales through each channel and increase share of new customer acquisition in the market
  • Managing and speedy resolution of operational issues to improve customer experience and reduce churn.
  • Ensure minimal Channel Partner attrition by deploying relevant tools as appropriate.
  • Recruitment and on boarding of channel partners to enable business growth and expansion.
  • Driving Rewards and Recognition program for channel partners and the direct teams to improve performance
  • Implement and drive Channel plans to grow the number of devices to support the business plan Gross Adds set targets.
  • Tracking of weekly fixed and mobile agent productivity as a key enabler to achieve the desired daily activations targets.
  • Track activations to support subscriber growth (Net Additions).
  • Grow RGS 30 & 90 MBB and FWA subscribers
  • Manage the execution of Channel plans and ensure Brand standards for Channels are adhered to
  • Manage the initiation and implementation of channel activations to drive acquisitions
  • Liaise with the Regional Business Managers to ensure excellent in-Trade activation and execution in line with Picture of Success
  • Provide Channel and Shopper thought leadership for acquisitions channel plans implementation
  • Manage the initiation and implementation of channel activations to drive acquisitions
  • Oversee respective stock planning, forecasting and analysis for distribution and main warehouses
  • Coordinate overall supply chain in the company for all distribution channel partners
  • Manage the implementation and execution of acquisitions strategy and brand visibility nationally
  • Business Intelligence use for distribution optimization
  • Develop commission structures for dealers, agents and staff.
  • Build and maintain regular contacts with key channels to build stronger relationships.
  • Prepare or Liaise with the respective stakeholders on the value proposition
  • Promote and ensure compliance with (MTN policies, processes and procedures, overall objectives of the organization, regulatory & legal)
  • Lead in establishing high level stakeholder interactions with the relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide and grow sales innovation aligned to the vision mission and strategic focus areas of the business.
  • Identify tools /technology that supports implementation of the Broadband acquisition strategy.
  • Maintain professional working relationship with management, field and cross functional personnel, as well as customers and industry partners.
  • Creating Freelancer/Partner channel for deployment of Outdoor solutions
  • Ensure clear geographical reach with the network covered area.
  • Marking territories and increasing the product utilization within the defined territories

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant for the MTN Uganda job must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce, IT or any other related field.
  • A postgraduate qualification in a related field and professional sales certification is an added advantage.
  • Five years of experience in sales and distribution in a telecom company or service industry
  • Three years of experience in a supervisory role
  • Good knowledge of sales and retail Industry trends, best practice retail
  • Structured and organized approach to communicate
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access and Power point skills
  • Strong Analytic skills
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload.
