Job Summary:  The Manager – Information Management Operations will manage the administration and support of Enterprise reporting platforms like the Enterprise Value Analytics (EVA), Mediation, in-house reporting and other peripheral information systems and their interfaces to the wider IT eco-system.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overseeing the support of various Enterprise reporting platforms like EVA, mediation, in-house reporting and other peripheral information systems within MTN Uganda
  • Act as subject matter expert and go to person for any related enterprise reporting requirement that needs to be implemented by IT function.
  • Ensure efficient and effective support and operation of the following systems: big data platforms, mediation, financial ERP, HCM, Inspirosoft payroll, Fleet Management, Enterprise project management and other peripheral systems
  • Responsible for the creation and execution of the continuous service improvement program and performance management across these platforms.
  • Document workflow processes and recommend improvements on the assigned platforms under their domain.
  • Manage and liaise with service providers/vendors within the Enterprise Applications space.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant must hold a BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Applied Mathematics, or related field
  • Programming skills, Unix/Solaris/Linux and Database Administration Skills.
  • Vendor management
  • Project management
  • ITIL
  • At least five years of related IT experience – preferably in with a technical knowledge of software services; program management experience and a sound understanding of ITIL standards and best practices within operational environments.
  • SQL and scripting experience
  • More than 4 years of UNIX shell scripting/programming and database administration.
  • More than 3 years of experience developing and maintaining applications
  • Extensive experience in application operations and service management
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized and quick to learn
  • Pays attention to detail
  • Can-do attitude
  • Ability to work Long hours/ nights/ Weekends.
  • Should be able to work consistently with minimal supervision
