Job Summary:  The communications intern is a temporary position for a student or recent graduate who is interested in gaining experience in the field of communications?

A communications intern will be working under the direction of a team leader

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Assisting with the planning, coordination, and execution of various media production projects
  • Helping to operate and maintain production equipment such as cameras, audio equipment, and lighting
  • Assisting with the editing and post-production of media such as video, audio, and photographs
  • Helping to develop and implement creative concepts for media production projects
  • Assisting with research and development of new production techniques and technologies
  • Assist with the coordination and scheduling of production shoots

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Enrollment in a degree program related to communications, journalism, public relations, or marketing.
  • Strong writing, editing and research skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Experience with social media platforms and content management systems.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and take on new tasks.
  • Strong work ethic, dependability, and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with graphic design and video editing software is a plus.
  • Knowledge of media relations and PR strategies.
  • Familiarity with the industry and market is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • A strong portfolio showcasing previous work.
