Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Carry out vehicle pre-start check each time you report for duty and reporting any fault to your Supervisor i.e Engine Oil Level, Radiator Coolant Level, Window Washer Fluid Level, Power Steering Fluid Level, Brake Fluid Level, Tyre Pressure and General condition of the vehicle among others.
  • Ensure that the car safety rules are adhered to by yourself and any other passengers while the vehicle is in motion
  • Maintain a vehicle movement log sheet detailing time and mileage of vehicle movements.
  • Ensure that all loads are correctly and safely secured before the vehicle is put in motion
  • Ensure that courtesy is observed when transporting personnel and to other road users.
  • Ensure that the vehicle is maintained in a clean, tidy and mechanically sound condition.
  • Support all company policies, including, but not limited to Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental and alcohol.
  • Ensuring that the company vehicle is always parked in areas that permit parking in order to avoid towing.
  • Reporting any accidents, injuries and vehicle damage to management.
  • Other duties within the range of your skills and experience as may be required by your Supervisor from time to time.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant should hold an O’ level certificate
  • Certificate in Defensive Driving is desired
  • At least five years of experience in a professional/reputable busy environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Decision Making Skills
  • Multi-Tasking and Ability to work under pressure
  • Report writing skills
  • Strong work ethics and personal integrity
  • Highly motivated
  • High energy and positive
  • Respectful
