Mildmay Uganda is an indigenous Christian NGO that offers General and HIV/AIDS medical services also providing technical support for Ministry of Health Systems to scale up comprehensive HIV/AIDS Services.
Job Summary: The Database Administrator will be responsible for Planning, Developing and Maintaining the Mildmay Uganda database and systems infrastructure; ensuring that it is secure, available, and reliable. S/he will provide appropriate support to different technical teams for access and use of data sources in program implementation across the organization.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science or information Technology, with 2 years’ work experience performing Database/ systems Development & Administration and 3 years’ professional work experience in Information Technology.
- The successful candidate must be a Microsoft Certified Database Administrator; and must have demonstrable competence in the following areas: Microsoft SQL Server Knowledge and database query language, experience with Virtual server environment, knowledge in data visualization tools such as Power BI, development of Microsoft Power Platform solutions (e.g., Power Automate, Power BI, PowerApps)
- Working knowledge in ERP systems, Programming background [ASP.NET, VB.NET and C#], and knowledge of systems development in PHP, bootstrap, jQuery, ajax, Django and python
- All applicants must have a Non-judgmental approach to human relations; be in sympathy with Mildmay Uganda’s Christian values;
- Good communication and interpersonal skills; and must be able to maintain good working relationships with clients and colleagues.
