Job Summary: The Sales and Marketing Team Leader is responsible for maximizing the sales potential of SPIL within the assigned region by developing strategic sales plans to expand the customer base and ensure the achievement of growth and performance targets for the sales team thus increasing company sales.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Make daily sales of a range of Detergent Products manufactured by Still Pure Investments LTD.
- Lead the positioning of the company’s sales activities in order to capitalize on business opportunities to achieve and sustain daily, weekly and monthly sales targets in line with company objectives.
- Develop and maintain key customer and partner relationships to expand SPILS’ customer base and ensure recognition of the Miracle brand as a preferred product in Uganda and beyond.
- Ensure the preparation and reporting of accurate sales, revenue, expenses reports and make daily records of all sales’ entries both on cash and credit.
- Analyze trends and results in relation to goals and present realistic forecasts to the management team.
- Ensure accountability and proper use of company assets within your region.
- Maintain data relating to partners, accounts and activities and document key partner interactions. (Develop Sales Database)
- Ensure that all reporting of sales metrics is regarded as a priority by sales staff and that accurate and current information is available to reflect business results at all times.
- Develop and manage routine route plans and ensure that there’s only SPIL products on the truck at all times.
- Attend weekly and monthly company meetings.
- Ensure use of company systems within your area e.g., Odoo ERP and associate tools.
- Undertake employee management in order to deliver quality performance outcomes across the sales department.
- Always act in a manner consistent with SPILS’ values.
- Comply with the SPILS’ standards of conduct and all applicable policies and legislation.
- Represent SPIL in public and official forums, functions and joint ventures as required.
- And any other duties as may be assigned by the relevant supervisor.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in any business-related field
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a highly competitive sales/business–related environment
- Preferably 30 – 45 years of age
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to identify opportunities and chase them
- Extensively proven experience managing and directing a sales program, people Management, recruitment & managing direct sales agents, field collections, customer relationship management, and achieving sales targets, particularly in a developing country.
- Language: Two other local languages will be an added advantage
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Experience in managing a diverse team to meet specified sales targets.
- Experience with managing Sales Agents/Direct Sales Representatives is critical.
- Experience with analysis and presentations
- Applies broad-based knowledge to manage projects, account for resources and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and standards.
- A successful track record in setting priorities, managing work demands and evaluating progress while remaining responsive to changing priorities.
- Uses initiative to develop new approaches and to encourage high-performance outcomes.
