Job Summary: The HR Operations Officer will support the Bank in the implementation of the staff welfare policy, payroll management and administration system in line with the HR policy.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implement payment of staff salaries, incentives, benefits, and other allowances in line with Policy.
- Review, monitor & implement staff welfare, health & safety schemes in line with the Human Resource Management manual.
- Implement and monitor staff insurance, medical schemes i.e., medical and GPA/Life in line with Human resource Management Manual.
- Plan and conduct exit interview with staff leaving service and to establish cause & advise management on intervention in line with the Human Resource policy provisions.
- Develop, implement, and monitor staff insurance, medical schemes policy.
- Develop, monitor and implement staff pension schemes i.e. NSSF & other Benefits.
- Coordinate and review the process of developing Bank annual leave plans.
- Facilitate the processing of staff loans in line with credit and human resource policies.
- Prepare and submit monthly quarterly and annual section reports in line with the division reporting format.
- Update and maintain Human Resource Information system in line with HR policy
- Follow-up on staff meetings, receive minutes of staff meetings and summarize issues for management attention.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Degree in Business Administration/ or business-related field
- At least two years of relevant experience.
- Prior experience in Payroll Administration is required
- Knowledge & excellent use of Microsoft packages
- Good understanding of the interconnectivities of functions and processes.
- Generic industry and business awareness.
- Knowledge of the Uganda labour laws.
- Excellent problem solving and decision making.
- Exhibit high integrity and ethical standards in accordance with our code of ethics & Business conduct.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, planning, organizational and analytical skills.
- Have an accurate eye for detail and a sense of urgency.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
