Job Summary: The Accounts Relationship Supervisor’s position is part of the senior management team of the branch.  The candidate will supervise a team of Accounts Relationship Officers at the Branch:

 

Promoting, selling, processing, monitoring, recording, and evaluating loans to ensure 100% repayment and compliance with credit lending policies and procedures.

Managing the growth and performance of the branch loans portfolio, developing, executing plans, and implementing strategies for achieving targets and mitigating risks in loans set by the Branch.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Training, Coaching, Mentoring, and Supervising Accounts Relations Officers.
  • Assessing, reviewing, and approving loans as per the credit lending policy
  • Managing the performance and development of line staff.
  • Developing and executing plans that will allow the branch to achieve its targets and implement strategies set by the institution.
  • Monitoring the implementation of business growth strategies (lending and deposits) in the assigned Branches and making recommendations in line with the regional work plan and operational policies.
  • Monitoring key performance indicators for the Accounts Relations Officers i.e Client set targets, Portfolio quality set targets and Volumes
  • Ensuring proper procedures of custodianship of loan securities are followed
  • Ensuring Accounts Relations Officers maintain proper loan documentation as per the records and retention policy.
  • Analyzing, compiling, and submitting reports as per the reporting standards
  • Planning and conducting performance appraisals as we as counseling of the Accounts Relations Officers

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The ideal applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in any business-oriented field, BBA, B.COM, and a degree in Microfinance. Sound knowledge of Microfinance, principles, and practices of banking will be an added advantage
  • At least three years of work experience in Micro Finance.
  • Credit analytical Sales and Marketing Skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Track record of consistently good performance
  • Excellent communication and management skills with the ability to manage the work of subordinate employees
  • Good leadership and team-building skills
  • Good coaching and mentoring skills
  • Professionalism
  • Availability to travel 70% of the available time
