Job Title:  Product Coordinator – Motor Import Finance Product

Platinum Credit (U) Ltd has introduced a new product available to formally employed persons working in the Private Sector. Platinum Credit (U) Ltd is a subsidiary of Platcorp Holdings Ltd.

 

Job Summary:  The Product Coordinator – Motor Import Finance Product will ensure importation of motor vehicles is in line with company and custom’s rules and regulations.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Review KYC Documents for customers to facilitate loan processing.
  • Review Car Specifications in line with company policies.
  • Negotiate on best prices for purchase of Motor Vehicles with export companies in various countries.
  • Appraise loans submitted by Loans Officers
  • Follow up on shipment for Motor Vehicles until they reach the Port of Kenya.
  • Forward shipment documents to the Logistics Company to facilitate clearance of Motor Vehicles.
  • Follow up on payment of taxes as advised by the Logistics Company and secure number plates from Uganda Revenue Authority.
  • Prepare final Motor Vehicle release letters.
  • Share related reports with management.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in a similar position.
  • Knowledgeable about URA (Uganda Revenue Authority) Operations
  • In-depth knowledge about Motor Vehicle importation

 

Competencies:

  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Computer skills particularly Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and E-mail
  • Leadership and supervisory skills
