Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Systems Administration: Administers and supports systems and user infrastructure in close coordination with Pathfinder’s US Information Technology Unit and Pathfinder’s global IT standards. Ensures timely backups of all necessary systems data. Ensures high standards of systems availability across a range of physical conditions as budgets allow. Coordinates with US for disaster recovery planning. Selects and maintains program specific communications systems, including telephone systems, online communications, and Smart phones and other mobile devices. Designs and implements LAN and WAN public and private networks in project offices.
- Network Administration: Monitors the project’s network to ensure that is available to all system’s users. Assigns network access passwords. Develops and implements network security policies and procedures to safeguard information in computer files against accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction or disclosure. Resolves network problems and calls service technicians when problems can’t be resolved.
- Hardware and Software Procurement Plans: Reviews hardware and software procurement plans to ensure adequacy and compatibility with network and established systems. Replaces defective or inadequate software packages, and refers major hardware problems to service personnel for maintenance.
- User Systems: Supports all end users, upgrades and maintains software ensuring that all workstations are virus free. Maintains log books of equipment, installed software, hardware upgrades and configuration changes Repairs and troubleshoots hardware issues as needed. Develops, coordinates implementation of, and tests plan to continue data processing activities at off-site location in case of emergency.
- IT Communications and Administration: Ensures timely coordination and communication of specific program requirements, needs and initiatives with Pathfinder US Information Systems Unit Director and Global Infrastructure Manager.
- Information Systems: Works with Pathfinder US for the development, implementation, training and support of Pathfinder worldwide systems, including intranet and knowledge management systems based on MS Sharepoint, financial systems based on Serenic Navigator and MS Navision Data systems in the specific country.
- Vendor Relationship Management: Provides oversight and support to anyoutsourced database management service-provider.
- Project Management and Participation: Leads, manages or participates in cross functional project teams.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences, Information Technology or any related course.
- A minimum of five years of IT professional experience in related field.
- Experience in systems and network administration, and software and hardware.
- Proven ability to guide and train non-technical individuals on IT technical concepts.
- Proven ability to work with team members from other cultures, exhibiting cultural sensitivity and awareness, and able to communicate across sociological and cultural boundaries.
- Exceptional relationship building skills, ability to work and gain trust at all levels of an organization with a focus on excellent communications and follow up.
- Work experience with a multinational organization, preferred NGO’s.
