Job Summary: ACACIA FOUNDATION LTD is looking for an Accountant candidate. As the successful applicant, you’ll have a minimum of five years’ experience spent working in a busy finance department – preferably with knowledge of a manufacturing environment. You will have had exposure to managing international account receivables/payables, credit control, monitoring customer trading terms and raising high value invoices. With either accounting qualification(s) or equivalent experience, you’ll demonstrate a good knowledge of accounting procedures and standards. Experience of working with an ERP system will be a strong advantage.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining/updating the status of account receivables and payables.
  • Working closely with the Sales Department to ensure compliance with trade and payment agreements.
  • Manage all accounting transactions
  • Ensuring payments, amounts and records are correct
  • Recording and filing cash transactions.
  • Controlling credit and chasing debt.
  • Invoice processing and filing.
  • Processing expense requests for the accountant to approve.
  • Bank reconciliation.
  • Liaising with third party providers, clients and suppliers
  • Updating and maintaining procedural documentation.
  • Prepare budget forecasts.
  • Publish financial statements in time.
  • Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings.
  • Ensure timely bank payments.
  • Compute taxes and prepare tax returns
  • Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements.
  • Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in in Accounting, Finance or relevant field.
  • At least five years of work experience as an Accountant.
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping procedures
  • Familiarity with finance regulations
  • Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors
  • Hands-on experience with MS Excel and accounting software (e.g. SAP, Microsoft Dynamics)
  • Organization skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information
  • Good command of English both oral and written
  • Great attention to detail
  • Ability to think analytically
