Job Title: Sales Executive – Flexible Printing

Organisation: Graphic Systems

Duty Station:  Kampala, Uganda

Reports to: Sales Manager — Flexible Packaging

Department: Sales & Marketing.

Supports: Sales & Marketing, Production & Debt Recovery Teams

 

About US:

Graphic Systems is the largest printing and packaging company in Uganda. It supplies indoor and outdoor print advertising collateral, commercial printing, cartons, labels and promotional items. In addition the company manufactures corporate wear and garments.

 

 

Job Summary: The primary objective of the employee will be to develop and manage new clients. The employee will have to liaise with the sales manager to ensure all products of the company are being sold to the right clients.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Sales:

  • Exceed sales target set by senior management.
  • Manage a minimum often (10) clients.
  • To build strong relationship with key decision makers.
  • Sell all applicable products that company supplies to the client.
  • To develop strategies to increase price and gain extra margin.
  • To ensure to complete all tasks assigned.
  • Client visit is required.
  • Regularly gather information on competition.

Stock Management & Logistics:

  • Ensure goods are issued to client as per requirement, and all documentation and procedures are followed correctly.
  • To highlight to immediate manager if stocks of any item are running low.

Production Liason:

  • To highlight any issues clients are facing on their production line, due to products supplied by the company to immediate supervisor for immediate intervention.

Debt Recovery Teams:

  • To communicate the full potential of the client and work closely with the debt collection team in the recovery process and in resolving financial disputes with the client if any.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The ideal applicant must hold a Diploma/Degree in Business Administration specializing in marketing/sales, business or printing technology.
  • Citizenship: Linguistic skills: Experience:
  • Ugandan Citizen
  • Fluent in English (verbal & written), Swahili & Luganda.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in marketing/sales in a printing or packaging company. Ideally experience in sale of flexible printing products (labels, chip bags, rice bags, sugar bags, detergent bags, etc.)
  • Age: Above 30 years old
  • Experience in handling clients in highly competitive market of B2B.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Experience in selling wide variety of goods.
  • Experience in handling high value clients.
  • Ability to up sell & cross sell, and strategize to ensure order is received, and not lost to competition.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal and people management skills.
  • Team player.
