Job Title: Medical Officer

Organisation: Xclusive Uganda

Duty Station:  Kampala, Uganda

Reports to: Director Business Development

Salary range: UGX 2–3M Net and working 3 days a week

 

About US:

Xclusive is a company in Uganda producing cuttings for the worldwide market. We consist of 3 departments: Xclusive Young Plants, Kalanchoe and Chrysanthemum. Our total production area is about 11 hectares, and we work together with over 500 colleagues every day to optimally serve our customers. Xclusive is known for the innovative way of working, our care for employees and the community around us and our culture in which we achieve our goals together. Xclusive runs a Private not for Profit (PNFP) medical facility which serves both the staff and community with an average daily clinic attendance of 40 patients. The company seeks to hire well qualified, passionate, and committed individuals to support the delivery of high-quality health care services to her clients.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Diagnosing, treating and managing patients.
  • Identifying and recommending referral of patients in need of specialized treatment
  • Promoting public health practices in the community.
  • Participating in research activities and health data collection in the Xclusive community.
  • Championing continued professional development of self and all clinic staff.
  • Managing and accounting for allocated resources.
  • Oversight (support supervision) and liaison with the Clinic In-Charge to foster growth and prosperity in all activities run or supported by Xclusive Cuttings/Xclusive Medical Clinic

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • MB ChB or its equivalent from a recognized University/Institution.
  • Must be registered with the Medical and Dental Practitioners Council
  • Well-developed inter-personal skills to be capable of managing and communicating to patients and other staff at the Medical Clinic.
  • Must have more than three years of both clinical and public health working experience (Should demonstrate competences in having managed work experiences in both settings.
