Job Title:   Kindergarten Teachers (Baby, Middle and Lower Primary) Several Job Vacancies

King’s View Junior School is located at Kasenge. The school offers the Uganda national curriculum through use of modern international innovative pedagogical methods so that learning can take place. The school is founded on Christian values of responsibility, innovation, compassion and honorable service to the communities we serve.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support the establishment of a conducive learning environment for learners.
  • Prepare lesson plan, schemes of work and conducts lessons as per approved curriculum.
  • Assess learners regularly and take responsibility for guiding and ensuring progress of assigned group of learners to him/her.
  • Implore early childhood development (ECD) parenting skills to take care of children in his/her care.
  • Organize the classrooms and related resources in readiness for learning to support a healthy learning environment for the learners.
  • Submit termly, monthly and weekly reports as and when required.
  • Work with the parents and other stakeholders to achieve maximum involvement in the wholistic development of the learners.
  • Ensure safety of learners during class activities and co-curriculum activities
  • Develop and foster appropriate skills and social abilities to enable the optimum development of children, according to age, ability and aptitude.
  • Perform any other duty as assigned by the leadership and management from time to time.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Must have a minimum of certificate in nursery teaching or training in early childhood development. A Diploma in ECD is an added advantage.
  • Credit in English and Mathematics will be an added advantage.
  • Skills in classroom delivery and professional teaching experience is an added advantage.
  • Ability to understand the different needs of children.
  • Letter of recommendation detailing good conduct (no criminal activity including protection violation) from former employer or LC authority.
  • Should be able to work in a multicultural environment.
  • Skills in classroom delivery.
  • God fearing, trustworthy and a person of integrity.
  • Good moral standing with exemplary character.
  • Ability to use ICT to support the learning process.
  • Logical thinker and innovative with problem solving skills.
  • Fluency in spoken/written English language.
  • Highly customer centered in service delivery.
