Job Title: Internal Auditor

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify and assess areas of significant business risk.
- Implement best audit and business practices in line with applicable internal audit standards.
- Contribute to the development, implementation and maintenance of internal audit policies
- and procedures in accordance with local and international best practice.
- Conduct ad hoc investigations into identified or reported risks.
- Conduct risk-based audits covering operational and financial processes.
- Conduct pre-audit verification of petty cash payments, staff advances, vendor payments, consignment reports, and payroll schedules.
- Conduct pre-audit verification of sales orders, invoices, customer credits, discounts and refunds.
- Conduct audits, spot-checks, and inventory verifications at retail outlets and factories.
- For the processes audited, review and evaluate the system of management controls and assess their adequacy and effectiveness, and draft potential recommendations for improvement.
- Prepare audit working papers in accordance with defined standards.
- Review and reconcile the time and attendance records with payroll.
- Verify refund requests & credit notes before and after posting.
- Establish good working relationships with company staff and clients.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or economics (required)
- CIA, ACCA, ACMA, CPA or other internationally recognised professional accounting / auditing qualification (preferred).
- At least three years of internal audit experience.
- Good working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA.
- Good understanding of internal audit standards and methodologies and applying them appropriately in practice.
- Ability to develop creative solutions to problems.
- Ability to handle pressure and work under minimum supervision.
- High level of integrity.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Outstanding problem solver.
- Ability to communicate well & Influence others i.e., clear, and effective written and verbal communication, exercising tact and diplomacy when dealing with auditees / colleagues.
- Ability to negotiate skilfully to always affect a positive outcome and project the audit function positively.
