Job Summary: The Officer Cyber Threat Analyst will provide support in the assessment, execution and monitoring of tasks in relation to both corporate and sector Information / Cyber security operations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- To collect, aggregate and analyze Cyber Threat Intelligence information to identify, predict cyber threats, trends and provide protection mechanisms through advisories, alerts, reports.
- To support implementation of the Corporate cyber security framework and Information Technology Policy.
- To receive, investigate and respond to both reported and anticipated cyber security incidents and recommend appropriate countermeasures.
- To carry out periodic cyber security awareness resulting from research on current cyber threats, attack methodologies, and detection techniques.
- To research, deploy, maintain and improve cyber threat / information security monitoring technologies.
- To provide practical assistance on information security risk management to the Commission and external stakeholders
- To carry out any other duties assigned.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Cyber/information security, Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunication/Computer/Software engineering
- Professional certification in any related security field such as, CySA+/ CISSP/ GWAPT/ GREM/ CEH/ CISA/ OSCP is required
- At least two years of working experience in Information /Cybersecurity or relevant field in similar corporate setting
- Extensive technical experience as an Analyst and Attention to Details
- Strong report writing with clear recommendations
- Diligent – willing to see complex tasks through from initiation to completion
- Incident Management & Reporting
- Good team player – supportive of other professionals, willing to give and take advice in other specialist areas
- Working knowledge of Computer hardware, Internet applications, cryptographic technologies, security risks, threats and vulnerabilities, and risk assessments
- Good knowledge of UNIX and Windows environments
- Malware technologies: substantial experience in dealing with malware, to the level of Windows internals, reverse engineering and assembly language
- Demonstrated experience and be able to demonstrate the processing of large-volume forensic and eDiscovery investigations.
- Good knowledge in both incidence response and penetration testing
