Sinopec Service is engaged in the provision of all project phases service for various sectors, including oil & gas, power, buildings, roads and bridges etc. We are looking for Construction and Project support personnel.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate vehicle according to Company policies and Uganda road regulations to ensure the safety and security of passengers (patients, staff etc)
- In emergency cases, support the nurse in administering first aid and additional interventions that support patient health.
- Identify maintenance needs and immediately alert the supervisor of any conditions of concern before transporting passengers.
- Ensure the car have sufficient fuel and always ready for use.
- Ensure regular cleaning and maintenance services for the car.
- Record all movements in the vehicle logbook and submit routine inspection reports to supervisor.
- Ensure passengers use appropriate safety restraints while the vehicle is in motion.
- Ensure routine inventory of vehicle emergency and first aid supplies and report needs to supervisor.
- Participate in safety and defensive driving trainings
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of O level (Uganda Certificate of Education-UCE).
- At least ten years driving experience and 5years with Class DL license.
- Related working experiences with Government institution, an international NGO or private sector required.
- Experience driving an ambulance or other emergency response vehicles is an added advantage.
- Understand the usage of ambulance stretchers and basic ambulance equipment.
- Certification in defensive driving from a recognized institution is required.
- Certification in standard First Aid and CPR.
- Skilled in administering First AID and CPR.
- Certification in vehicle mechanics and maintenance is an added advantage.
- A Clean driving record is fundamental.
- Ability to follow procedures in response to accident or emergency situations.
- Clearance for traffic accidents for at least the past 5 years.
