Baylor College of Medicine Children’s Foundation -Uganda (Baylor-Uganda) is an indigenous not-for-profit child health and development organisation affiliated to the Baylor College of Medicine International Paediatric AIDS Initiative (BIPAI), a Network of paediatric HIV/AIDS care and treatment Children’s Clinical Centres of Excellence and international program offices in 11 countries across Africa and Eastern Europe.
Job Summary: The TB Coordinator will develop and monitor the implementation of systems, policies, strategies and plans for TB with an aim of strengthening health systems to improve TB/HIV services in alignment with the MOH and the Global END T.B strategies.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop, coordinate and monitor the implementation of TB/HIV activities in Baylor-Uganda supported districts.
- Provide technical support and guidance to regions, districts and partners in the implementation of TB/HIV activities.
- Develop, coordinate and monitor the implementation of strategies that enhances improved TB case finding, case holding, treatment outcomes and TB/HIV collaborative activities.
- To coordinate and conduct TB/HIV trainings, mentorship and coaching on TB/HIV activities in the Baylor-Uganda supported regions.
- Develop, monitor and coordinate procurement plans for TB/HIV program in line with the Baylor procurement policy
- Take lead in the development of technical guidelines and tools’ for TB/HIV services.
- Support the Human resource department in recruiting and maintaining a competent & motivated team of HIV/TB staff in line with the Human resources manual.
- Develop and strengthen partnerships & networks with the key stakeholders at district, regional and national level.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal applicant must hold a Master’s in Public Health with a background M.B.Ch.B degree and registered with the Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council and health systems management training.
- At least three years of experience in managing TB related programs/projects with (2) years relevant working experience preferably in health development at a middle management position, with a reputable international NGO, and direct experience with government and donor representatives.
