Job Title:  Document Controller & Translator

Duty Station:  Project Sites (Buliisa & Nwoya), Uganda

Sinopec Service is engaged in the provision of all project phases service for various sectors, including oil & gas, power, buildings, roads and bridges etc. We are looking for Construction and Project support personnel.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: The primary responsibilities of this position include:

• Controlling Construction Department documentation
• Following the document control (DC) procedures and use DC software platform such Documentum, iDocs, and Prodom (in-house training will be provided)
• Sorting, storing and retrieving electronic and hard copy documents
• Ensure documents are shared at key times to facilitate timely tasks completion
• Attend internal and external meeting and record minute
• Work in Chinese & English bilingual environment and translate documents between Chinese and English

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• New HSK (Chinese Competency) Level 5 or above; or equivalent competency certification.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction related majors with minimum 3 years similar working experience.
• Strong communication and organization skills
• Proficient in English, Office Software
• Successful candidates with relevant experience and recognized expertise in large onshore/offshore oil and gas EPC projects will be preferred.
• The working environment is multicultural and demands considerable experience in the project process working with International Clients and Contractors.
• Strong communication skills
• Fluent spoken and written English, and Chinese competency will be a plus.
