Job Summary:  The Customer Care Officer will be responsible for creating and maintaining a favorable public image of the company by working with social media and advertising teams while producing PR reports to Management.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Plan and carry out Customer Care and Public Relations campaigns and strategies
  • Monitor the public and media’s opinion of the company and advise management on how to further strengthen company reputation.
  • Write and edit press releases, leaflets brochures, speeches, newsletters, websites, annual reports and social media content.
  • Develop a media relations strategy for the company, seeking high-level placements in print broadcast and online media.
  • Train other employees on how to handle media enquiries and press interviews
  • Develop good working relationships with the media and liaising with the press on potential news stories.
  • Monitor, analyze and communicate Public Relations results to management on a quarterly basis.
  • Promptly manage and update client’s social media posts
  • Prepare and monitor the public relations budget on a quarterly and annual basis and allocate funds appropriately.
  • Maintain a keen understanding of postal industry trends affecting clients and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them.
  • Any other duties that may be assigned to him/ her by superiors from time to time.

  • Website traffic and website conversation rate

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant must hold an Honor’s Bachelor’s Degree in Social Administration, Public Relations, or Mass Communication
  • Relevant Post-Graduate qualification shall be an added advantage
  • At least four (04) years’ relevant experience, with two (02) years’ hands-on experience in Customer care, mass engagement or public relations from a reputable organization
  • Proven track record in designing and executing successful public relations at both local and national level
  • Experience in acting as company spokesperson and skilled in both broadcast and print media.
  • Willingness and ability to learn about the Postal business trends and innovations
  • Excellent knowledge of social media platforms.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Must be a confident communicator and presenter
  • Be able to keep company information confidential
  • Excellent writing and editing skills.
  • Must be self-motivated with a positive and professional approach to management
  • Be in a position to remain calm in stressful situations
