Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Directing financial planning and strategy.
- Analyzing and reporting on financial performances.
- Overseeing audit and tax function.
- Developing and implementing accounting policies.
- Preparing forecasts and comprehensive budgets.
- Training accounting Staff.
- Reviewing Departmental budgets.
- Assessing, managing, and minimizing risk.
- Analyzing complex financial data.
- Managing Internal control.
- Budgeting and monitoring of project expenditures.
- Maintaining and supervising project accounts.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal applicant must hold a Degree in Economics or in a related field.
- 15 years of proven work experience in Finance Administration on international Construction projects of which 5years should be with an international construction company working on oil and gas projects
- Advanced knowledge in computing programs of Micro Soft applications inclusive of MS FrontPage and MS Project.
- Advanced knowledge in ACL and IDEA (data analysis tools in Audit) and SPSS (data analysis tools) with Visual Basics, SQL and HTML, SAP/R3 and AS/400 especially in modules SAP FI-CO and MM, Strong knowledge of POC, POCP (public), POCMS (Health) and POCFIM (Investment Funds), IFRS and IAS.
- Good financial reporting skills.
- Good team leadership and mentorship skills.
- Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns
- A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles
